Join us at the WRIPAC 45th Anniversary Meeting on April 11-12, 2024, at the Embassy Suites San Diego Bay Downtown. Inspired by Hernan Cortes' bold move in 1519, we embrace the 'burn the ships' spirit, breaking from tradition to navigate new HR frontiers. Just as Cortes aimed to conquer the Aztecs, we strive to conquer outdated practices. This meeting focuses on technology and process changes essential for organizational progress. To embark on this journey, encourage your team to shed risk-averse mindsets. Burn those boats with us and explore the future of Public Sector Human Resources.

Meeting Agenda:Click Here!

Our meetings are always free to attend. WRIPAC Meetings combine informative guest speaker presentations or panel discussions, a collaborative round-table discussion, and committee sessions to support the work of WRIPAC in service to the Public Sector HR Community.

San Diego sparkles at night, and what better way to see it than with Old Town Trolley Tours! Hop aboard our trolley for a picturesque evening you won’t forget.

Your San Diego City Lights Night Tour Includes:

  • Hop aboard the Trolley for a picturesque evening you won't forget
  • Open-air sightseeing is perfect for taking pictures
  • Approximately 1 hour and 40-minute tour
  • See San Diego’s famous sights illuminated at night
  • Take in romantic views of the city and cruise past notable landmarks
  • Highlights include The Historic Gaslamp Quarter, Balboa Park, Coronado’s Ferry Landing, USS Midway, and more

Your 100-minute journey kicks off with a drive through the West Coast’s premier entertainment district, known as the Gaslamp Quarter. Famed for its vibrant nightlife, bright lights, and Victorian architecture, this unforgettable urban playground will captivate your imagination. Then, we’ll head to Balboa Park, one of the largest outdoor cultural centers in the US, with its stunning buildings, fountains, and statues glowing bright, transformed at night, and equally as remarkable in the evening as they are during the day.

From Balboa Park, we’ll drive to the top of the Coronado Bridge for more spectacular sights, including the lights coming in from Tijuana, Mexico, the bay, and downtown San Diego. We’ll make a 15-minute stop at Coronado’s Ferry Landing, a perfect photo-op location, to take in the stunning beauty of the San Diego city skyline visible from across the bay.

Then, you will re-board the trolley and head for San Diego’s Little Italy. From its humble beginnings as the epicenter of the world’s tuna fishing industry to the high-spirited tourist destination of today, Little Italy is a chic, pedestrian-friendly neighborhood, packed with trendy cocktail bars, brewpubs, and restaurants with bustling patios.

From there, we’ll make our way to the Embarcadero’s Bayfront views. You’ll see the Historic County Administration Building, the Maritime Museum’s Star of India, the USS Midway Museum, Seaport Village, the Headquarters, and also the Navy’s aircraft carriers across the bay.

And with that, you will have experienced America’s Finest City in another light, something you won’t soon forget.
